This course offers small class size instruction that builds on the fundamentals of wheel throwing learned in the first level: “Into to Wheel Throwing” or “Intro to Clay”, and open work time on the pottery wheel. We cover more in depth throwing techniques, more advanced forms (Plates, Lidded Forms, etc.), trimming, and glazing pieces to completion.

Ages: 16 and up

General Class Format

Runs every Thursday from 6-8:30pm for 8 weeks

Total Class Time: 2.5 hrs per session

First 30-45 min — Instruction on throwing technique, advanced forms, trimming, alternation, and glazing. Each week varies on subject matter.

Last 1.5-2 hrs — Work time

Make as many pieces as you like with the clay provided (Additional clay available for purchase or reclaim)

Take home as many pieces as made with clay provided

Up to 12 hours additional open studio time during the 8 weeks for make up time or bonus studio work, during select hours*

Cancellation/Refund/Rescheduling policy 

• Cancellations within 2 weeks of the beginning of your class will be issued a 50% refund. 

• If you need to reschedule a $20 fee will be applied if there is space in future classes. 1 reschedule allowed.
