Interested in creating your own plaster molds but hesitant about contamination and ‘plaster disasters’?  Join Teaching Artist Brady McLearen for this one-day technical workshop as he walks you through the essential tools and a tidy set-up to pour plaster confidently and successfully; class includes a demonstration and work time to pour plaster over your own clay-tile creation. Whether for hump, slump, slip casting processes, or clay reclaim, this workshop is perfect for beginners and practicing artists alike who want to get more comfortable with this versatile and useful material. 

All levels welcome

General Class Format

• Intro     75 min: Welcome, Intro, Demo/Discussion

• Create   30 Min: Carve, Stamp, Sculpt clay pattern 

• Prep/pour   75 min: Prep flasks, Weigh/Measure, Mix,  Pour plaster

• End   30 min: Clean-up / Closing 

Class runs 3-3.5 hrs total
